A beachfront mansion with an $8 million price tag has hit the market in an idyllic location fast becoming the Aussie celebrity coastal getaway of choice.

High-profile holiday-makers including Barbie star Margot Robbie, surf champion Stephanie Gilmore and former footballer Sonny Bill Williams have all been identified as preferred buyers for the modern Mediterranean-inspired property at Kingscliff on the Tweed Coast.

Known as Casa Capri, the near-new luxury home designed by Jayson Pate is marketed by Nick Witheriff, of LJ Hooker.

Mr Witheriff confirmed virtual tours of the property had been conducted with several potential celebrity buyers, who were also invited to personally inspect the stunning six-bedroom, five-bedroom home.

“Casa Capri is as stunning as anything I’ve seen in Kingscliff. Its Mediterranean influence flows throughout the elegantly appointed home, bathing it in sunlight and establishing a seamless connection with Kingscliff beach and the atmosphere of Salt Village on its doorstep,” Mr Witheriff said.

Local business owners Mark and Heather Lambert built the trophy home last year on a 1,1012 sqm vacant parcel secured for $2m in 2020.

Its striking exterior sets arched windows and doorways against bright white, while inside living spaces wrap around a glamorous 5m diameter round pool and al fresco entertaining space with outdoor barbecue kitchen, pizza oven and bar fridges.

Other features include a wine cellar, cocktail bar, and stone fireplace, plus a designer kitchen with quartz benchtop and a butler’s pantry.

There’s also a round astroturf yard and fire pit area, while council approval has been granted for a granny flat to be added with an ensuite, kitchenette and dining areas with separate

access.

Five bedrooms have ensuites, and the sixth bedroom has been designed to serve alternatively as an executive office.

The listing follows the $7.25m sale of another luxury home 100m down the street, cementing the strip’s reputation as the “Wategos of Kingscliff” and luring buyers to the Tweed Coast region from Byron Bay.

“We’ve seen some significant prices paid for this rare lifestyle with the street holding a record of $8.97m for 15 Cylinders,” Mr Witheriff said.

“People are tired of the crowds and the hustle and bustle when trying to get to places and nowadays Kingscliff has a really good balance of a laid-back lifestyle along with restaurants, bars and hotels and ease of access to the Gold Coast and Byron Bay.”
